Tech Care Guides
Get the most out of your devices. Our expert team shares the best practices for maintaining, cleaning, and extending the life of your tech accessories.
Clean Regularly
Use a dry cotton swab to gently remove earwax from ear tips weekly. For the mesh grille, use a soft dry toothbrush. Never use water directly on the speaker.
Maximize Battery Life
Charge your earbuds before they drop below 20%. Avoid leaving them in the case plugged in for days on end โ charge to 80โ90% for daily use.
Store in the Case
Always store earbuds in their charging case when not in use. This protects them from dust, moisture, and physical damage โ and keeps them charged.
Avoid Moisture
Even IPX4-rated earbuds shouldn't be submerged. Avoid wearing them in heavy rain or while swimming. Dry them completely before putting them back in the case.
Don't Exceed 80% Volume
Prolonged listening at high volumes damages both your hearing and the drivers. Keep volume below 80% for extended sessions.
Replace Ear Tips
Silicone ear tips wear out over time and affect both comfort and sound quality. Most brands sell replacement tips โ swap them every 6โ12 months.
Charge Correctly
Use only the included magnetic charger. Third-party chargers may supply wrong voltage and damage the battery. Charge to 100% but unplug once done.
Clean the Strap Weekly
Wipe silicone straps with a damp cloth and mild soap weekly to remove sweat and skin oils. This prevents irritation and keeps the strap looking new.
Keep Screen Sensors Clean
Clean the back sensor area (heart rate, SpO2) with a soft dry cloth before wearing for accurate health readings. Dirt and sweat affect sensor accuracy.
Check Water Rating
5ATM-rated watches can handle swimming, but not hot showers or saunas โ heat can degrade seals. Check your watch's specific rating before submerging.
Update Firmware Regularly
Firmware updates improve sensor accuracy, add features, and fix bugs. Check your companion app monthly for available updates.
Strap Replacement
Replace straps every 12โ18 months, especially if you wear the watch for workouts. A worn strap can break unexpectedly and result in a lost watch.
Don't Cover While Charging
Chargers and power banks generate heat. Never cover them with pillows, blankets, or place them inside enclosed spaces while in use. Heat is the enemy of batteries.
Use Original Cables
Cheap cables are the #1 cause of slow charging and early device battery degradation. Use the included cable or a certified replacement from Anker, Baseus, or Ugreen.
Unplug During Storms
Power surges from lightning strikes can fry chargers and damage connected devices. Unplug chargers during storms, or use a surge protector.
Power Bank Maintenance
Don't let power banks sit fully discharged for months. Even if unused, cycle them (charge to 80%, use to 20%) every 3 months to preserve battery health.
Check Airline Rules
Most airlines allow power banks under 100Wh in carry-on only (not checked luggage). Check your bank's Wh rating before travelling.
Clean USB Ports
Dust and lint in USB ports reduces charging contact and speed. Use a dry toothpick or compressed air to clean ports every 2โ3 months.
Remove & Clean Monthly
Remove your case monthly and clean both the case interior and your phone's back. Dust and grit trapped between case and phone can actually cause scratches.
Prevent Yellowing
Transparent TPU cases yellow faster in UV light. Keep your phone out of direct sunlight when possible, and replace clear cases every 8โ12 months.
Inspect Screen Protectors
A cracked screen protector has done its job โ it sacrificed itself to protect your screen. Replace it promptly; a cracked protector offers significantly less protection.
Don't Reuse Old Cases
Cases degrade over time โ the shock-absorbing properties of TPU and polycarbonate weaken after drops. Replace your case annually, or after any significant impact.
